THEORY- VIA- EMAIL is an online music theory distance learning course which is available to all English-speaking students (in any country). The course is very different to any other you will find on the web due to its unique teaching approach (for more information click here) which is guaranteed to get you to your desired goal (Grade 1,2,3,4 or 5) in less time than any other available course AND is also enjoyable. Understanding the theoretical side of music is extremely important as a complement to practical tuition. Indeed, for all students who take practical exams of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, a theory qualification at Grade 5 level is mandatory before entries for exams of Grades 6 to 8 may be submitted.The course commences from a grade of your choice, and will take you in stages right up to the necessary standard required for you to take an external exam (set by either Trinity Guildhall or The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music).

HOW THE COURSE OPERATES
All topics (listed in the All-In-One to Grade 5 book ) are arranged into a set of conveniently sized modules which are sent out by email. The student works through one module at a time at their own pace and (once all course exercises for each module have been completed) scans and emails their work as Jpeg/PDF attachments to theoryviaemail@aaronpublication.co.uk where it is carefully marked. A written report is prepared upon completion of each module and comments/corrections are emailed to the student along with material for the next module. Each student is assessed individually and your tutor may assign further exercises (if necessary) to provide additional help and tuition on any weaker areas of the work.
ADVANTAGES
Students have their own personal tutor (often the author herself!) and are completely free to work at their own speed as they proceed through the course. This means that if students have the availability of time it is quite possible to make the necessary progress in considerably less time than it normally takes by attending weekly lessons with a local teacher. The rates are considerably cheaper than most private teachers are charging, so you will most likely be saving there too.
Sometimes students may require assistance before they send in their work to be marked, in which case they can email their question to us (to theoryviaemail@aaronpublications.co.uk) and it will be answered as quickly as possible (usually within 24 hours).

Please note that All-In-One to Grade 5 is copyrighted. It may not be scanned for any other purpose than being marked by Aaronpublications for the use of only the person enrolled for the course. These are the terms of your "licence" which comes into force when you purchase your first module. All other form of copying/ scanning or distribution for any purpose, is illegal and strictly forbidden under the Copyright Designs and Patent Act 1988. Offenders will be prosecuted.
"Duration of course".
You may take as much time (or as little time) as you wish to complete the course. However, if we have not received any material (at all!) from you to be marked within 6 months of your last emailed work (or, for new customers, within 6 months of the date that you purchased your first module), we reserve the right to cancel your licence, without notice, if we suspect that you have no intention of continuing the course. You will then not be permitted to reproduce any pages in your possession (unless we state otherwise). You can easily apply to renew your licence (at no extra cost) if you send us an email stating that you wish to continue the course, and if we believe that your intentions to do so are genuine.
